Neelagiri Relics Procession – February 25, 2025

The Neelagiri Relics Procession commenced on February 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM, departing from the Sri Kalyani Dharma Ashram in Borella, Colombo, and making its journey to the Neelagiriya Archaeological Site.

The procession featured several significant religious observances along the route. A Gilanpasa Pooja was conducted in the morning, followed by an alms offering in Kadawatha during the afternoon. In the evening, another Gilanpasa Pooja took place in Kurunegala.

The sacred procession traveled through Borella, Kiribathgoda, Kadawatha, Nittambuwa, Ambepussa, Kurunegala, and ultimately arrived at the Na Uyana Aranya Senasana in Melsiripura. Throughout the journey, thousands of devotees gathered along the route to pay homage and offer their reverence to the sacred relics, making it a deeply spiritual and momentous occasion.
