The ‘National Archaeological Seminar 2020’ was held under
the theme ‘Urumaya Thani Nokaramu’ at the Foundation Institute in Colombo yesterday to mark the National Archaeological Day.
Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, who was the chief guest, also joined in a tree planting programme to mark the occasion. Secretary to the Prime Minister Gamini Senarath, Buddhasasana, Cultural and Religious Affairs Ministry Secretary Bandula Harischandra and Archaeological Department Director General Dr. Senarath Dissanayake also participated.
