Obverse

A Stiver coin. A bust of King George III is in the centre of the coin. King facing right and crowned. GEORGIUS III D.G. BRITANNIARUM.REX is the surrounding text in English characters.

Reverse

In the center of the circular coin is an elephant facing left on a platform. Above the elephant, in 2 lines of English characters, the value of the coin is inscribed CEYLON, ONE, HALF STIVER. Inscribed 1815 below the elephant.

Place of find

It has been mentioned in the documents of the University of Kelaniya that it is assumed that it was found in the vicinity of the Jaffna Kantharodaya archeological site.
